BROTHERS: GIFTS FROM GOD

Extra from Volume 6#1 by Lily

"This is too heavy for me; could you get it? Wow, that was great, You did a really good job. What would I ever do with out you?"

I finally got to a point that I realized that even if it is just a little bag, if our brother offers to carry it for us, LET them. Slow down give them a chance to open the door for you. Be a sister they can respect, not demanding and NEVER belittle them.

The more I respected my brothers the more they respect me AND my friends and that meant a lot to me. I know with out a shadow of a doubt, If I needed them there were there, just listen to my frustraded heart, or giving me ride to town, or greatest of all, be my defender.

Some things that have helped me are:

»Be interested in what they do.
»Be attentive to what they say.
»Compliment them.
»Praise their achievements in front of friends.
»Include them when possible.
»Spend time alone with them doing something together.
»Ask for their ideas and opinions.
»Support them.
»Share books and ideas with them.

Keeping pressing on. I am here to testify that all things are possible through Jesus Christ in us. With out Him we are nothing, so keep up the good fight. For God has said, "I will never leave you; I will never abandon you." (Hebrews 13:5.)
