HIS PRESENCEExtra from Volume 10#1 by Azalea |
Dear sisters, It's hard for us to grow as roses for our King, in a society that is targeting us and our relationship with our Father. Satan's goal is to remove us as far from God as he can. That's where we have to put up our guard. Hebrews 4:12 says, "For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword." We can use the Word of God to help fend off temptations. Your first step in overcoming hardships is to know that the Bible is your tool and your friend, in whatever situation you may find yourself. Proverbs 16:9 says, "A man's heart deviseth his way: but God directeth his steps." The steps we take may not necessarily be the right ones, so we have to keep in touch with Him always, and ask Him what He wants to do with our life. Perhaps the hardest step to take in turning your life utterly over to Him is putting everything in His hands, and not looking back. Another thing is that God loves you no matter who you are. You could be having a bad day, you could be having a good day; you could be rich, you could be poor; you could be black; you could be white; no matter your race, personality, or lifestyle, God loves you, and He is always beside you every step of the way. I've had to overcome several hardships throughout my life; we all have. I beg you, as a sister, please, keep your focus on Him. There are times when we all just feel like giving up, but keep holding on. He knows what you're going through. Just pray to Him, to help you. He may not always answer right away, but he will answer sometime. Whether its a 'no,' or a 'yes,' or maybe just a 'not right now.' You may be wondering why He would put in this situation. Have you ever thought that maybe He put you here for a reason? He may be preparing your heart for a certain special someone, or He could be strengthening your character and faith, by putting you in a certain situation. He knows all of our weaknesses, and He's going to test us, to strengthen our armor. If we stick close to Him, throughout our trials, your faith in Him will be stronger. I want to end by sharing a song I wrote a couple of years ago. I was going through a depression, and I wrote this song to help take away some of the pain I was going through. Your Presence Your presence, is with me when I'm down Your presence, calms the storm inside. Remember that God loves you, and may He be a light shining to you in your surrounding darkness! |
